DIOCESAN SECURITY DEPARTMENT

Central Catholic Church Vigilante, Anambra State (CCCVAS) is a brain child of Very Rev. Fr. Christopher Nnachebem Nwobi (JP). It is security outfit officially inaugurated by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Most Rev. Hilary Odili Okeke.

Central Catholic Church Vigilante, Anambra State (CCCVAS) Unit has been registered with the Police Community Vigilante Service (PCVS) of Anambra State Police Command as Directed by the State Commissioner of Police.

Consequently, CCCVAS is a valid and recognized armed security outfit in Anambra State as an auxiliary to the police command.

It was conceived and established due to recent armed robbery and kidnapping menace which is being experienced in our churches and parish houses. The harassment, Car snatching, kidnapping of worshippers in the Church premises and vehement attacks and robbery of Father's houses were getting so uncontrollable. Hence the need to float a well trained and armed security in the Church to beef up surveillance and protection of lives and properties in and around our Churches and Institutions in Anambra State, wherever they are called to serve.

So far, CCCVAS  has been in operation since 2008 and has gradually been grooming and training young energetic men and women of goodwill and Catholic orientation, and is now fully serving in various institutions and parishes within the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi and beyond, ready to be invited for services in any area and ceremonies as well.

To the glory of God, CCCCVAS has given birth to another security outfit known as Flaming Sword Security System(FSSS) with CAC Registration  No. Rc. 1044182 in Nigeria. This outfit can work anywhere in Nigeria.
